BYOFS: bring your own flaky salt

the time will come when a casual establishment hands you a flimsy packet of bland iodized dust masquerading as salt or you’ll arrive at an airbnb with a cardboard cylinder that’s been rattling around since i was in high school. and let me tell you, nobody!! not ever, has looked back and thought “damn i really regret having flaky salt on hand!!”

a little eccentric? yes. endearing and worth it? deeply yes 🤸🏼‍♀️ good salt has rescued more eggs, tomatoes, avocados, rental house kitchens, lackluster room service breakfasts, and car salads than i can count!!
